Fannie Mae Specific Documents

NOTE THAT THESE DOCUMENTS ARE ONLY FOR FANNIE MAE PROPERTIES, WHICH ARE IDENTIFIED IN THE AGENT REMARKS OF THE MLS. DO NOT INCLUDE THEM FOR OTHER SELLERS.

These are the common Fannie Mae documents that you may need through the course of your transaction. Fannie Mae now requires all offers be submitted through their portal on HOMEPATH.COM. Please click here to be redirected to the Homepath site where you can search for the property and submit your offer. For detailed instructions please click here to navigate to the “For Real Estate Professionals” Tab at the top. Their instructions should be followed for offer submission.

  • The Fannie Mae Purchase Addendum is REQUIRED with submission of your initial offer.  Fannie Mae will not accept an offer without it. Please fill in the the document and include it with your offer.  If your buyer comes to terms with the seller, then you will receive a finalized updated document with those final terms. You will send the entire contract package to me to send to FNMA for Corporate Approval. The latest Fannie Mae Purchase Addendum is found on the For Real Estate Professionals page of the Homepath site.
  • Also, if your buyer is an Owner Occupant, the Owner Occupant Certification must be completed. It is found on the same web page as the Fannie Mae Purchase Addendum. The Listing Agent will complete the 2nd page attached to this document.
  • The Fannie Mae Amendment is the document you will use for extensions or changes to any terms after contract ratification. NOTE THAT FANNIE MAE WILL NOT ACCEPT THE NVAR AMENDMENT FORM. YOU MUST USE THIS FORM.
  • The Fannie Mae Notice of Termination is their specific form. In the case that your contract is terminated, you would need to complete and return BOTH this form and the NVAR termination form. Fannie Mae only requires their form, but the NVAR form is often required by your broker.
